The war we fight from within is the most difficult of all confrontations, but it’s the only one worth winning.

Great haiku (obviously, since it’s from you) and I love the image. At this time of year, I can’t help thinking that a heart in armor could have helped a scarecrow and a cowardly lion at the same time.

Lmao! Is there no end to your amazing sense of humor? I want to gather all your words and put them in my pocket so whenever I feel sad, I can take them out and laugh like crazy. Thank you, BunKππΉπ

I was just walking along the street minding my own business, when suddenly I thought of your haiku again and it occurred to me that my suggestion was all wrong. It was the Tin Man that needed a heart, wasn’t it? Scarecrow needed a brain. Sadly, I need a functioning memory. Never mind, I mean well.

I like the title and its two dimensional perspective. A real heart attack is obviously damaging to oneself. It places an individual in harms way; unable to protect from physical and emotional harm. When the heart attacks it becomes a source of increased strength and power. I view the armor as a protective lifestyle that strengths the heart to combat internal physical demons (physical disease) as well as internal emotional demons (emotional disease.) Your writing stimulates the mind.

Yes! I did want the poem to have a twofold meaning, and you’ve described my writings in perfect eloquence! Thank you, Jonathan! π π π

A heart of steel. I can tell you’ve been hurt so deeply. I will never forget your poem I think it’s called “Claws” where she guards her heart with claws. That is one of my favorite poems :). You’re a beautiful women inside and out. I love you my Rose π β€οΈ
