You grow like ivy around my heart.
Clinging vine overwhelms my soul.
Every inch of me you cover.
Sweet darkness in your embrace.
Enwrap me.
Don’t let go.

I love this. Having ‘dealt’ with ivy (literally or metaphorically BRH? I’ll take the fifth on that one please Rose!) I’m fascinated by the way that removing it can also damage the thing it clings to too. Oddly, I read this more as being about addiction more than romance.

Oh, really? I’d love to have tea with you and hear all about it. Do sit down! 😀 Yes, there definitely is addiction running through the vine. Isn’t love an addiction? — that need to connect with that person body and soul?
Such an astute comment, B! I love your words. Now, let’s have tea. ☕️🍰☕️

Goodness gracious, you do make such a lovely cup of tea. I suppose love can be an addiction but does it beat a cup of tea?

Thank you! This is a special blend of tea which can be addicting, so be careful! Oh, I see a vine sprouting out of your ear! Too late. The tea has you in its clutches 😉😜😘

Rose exposes the fragile yet warm and loving side of a relationship. This is the side that holds a real relationship together for it provides a strong foundation and becomes impenetrable in times of challenges. This is a beautiful poem that will rekindle the romance in many relationships.

Thank you Dr. J! You know how to make people feel all warm & fuzzy. Now, I’ll go get a pet comb and tame all the fuzziness down 😀 xo
