- Inspired by Joan Miro’s Tapestry
Hypnotic color.
Illusions behind your eyes.
Imagine a world.
Miro, take my hand.
Paint me where purple horses
leap through dimensions.
In glittery skies,
ride to telescopic lands –
Leave a trail of stars.

Hi JC! Fly’s haiku was the first one and inspired the whole post. Collaborating is great fun. If you ever find the time, Haiku with Me!! 🌹

Your whimsical illustration reminds me of the colors we see when our eyes are closed (phosphenes). Thanks for traveling the landscape of creativity!

That’s right! Miro’s, de Chirico’s, and Dali’s
modern works were known as hallucination phenomena
which led to the term “phosphenes.”

It was excellent traveling the creative landscape with your words!
Thanks so much for Haiku-ing with Me. 😀

Really? That’s strange. I’m not familiar with Miros work, and had no idea that particular artistic expression was literally inspired by phosphenes. Thanks for sharing the link!

Oh, well, and here I thought you were brilliant to know about phosphenes in art. 😞 I shall try to mask my disappointment. 🎭

Hi Rose, yes WP is an amazing space. It really does dissolve the tyranny of distance. And on top of that, I’ve never seen anything but polite and thoughtful discourse, unlike what one so often sees on other platforms.

That would be wonderful. I have to find inspiration by what I experience whenever I am able to leave my house or draw from memories. Being confined to a bed limits me. Here is one of my haikus:
Azure twilight ebbs
Earthly shadows disappear
Stars kiss ebony skies
