Pesadilla

Pottery by Poet Rummager
I pull you close.
You tell me no –
Not tonight.
Just one little kiss.
I smell your sweat.
It whets my appetite.
You scare me,
You whisper
As I make you mine.
I inhale your scream.
Tentacles unwind.
I pierce your thoughts
Like a scalpel to your brain.
I slice off sweet dreams
And toss them away.
Say my name!
I insist.
You cover your eyes.
Say my name!
I seethe.
You refuse.
I grit my teeth.
I bite.
Pesadilla!
You shriek.
You wake in the night.
Pesadilla!
You shout.
Iβm aroused
By your fright.
Pesadilla!
You screech.
I laugh with unfettered delight.
Donβt ever forget my name.
I sigh as you give up the fight.
*Pesadilla means nightmare in Spanish.

π Oh, you! Thank you, my darling. I shall never forget yours, either… among other things. Lol. Are you back?!

Well, I have posted an article and some videos and a meme. I post another article tomorrow and technically I am not back and after tomorrow we will see. I am not feeling the words and I have come to crossroads. Don’t know what to do with my site. I know I don’t want it to be just poetry which I am not feeling as well. So I don’t know. That is the best I can tell you.

So true, David…. although, not many love a good nightmare. A pity, really, since nightmares make the heart go pitter-patter like no other. π

I don’t want to part of you diet
Oh hell, I need to pee

Even if I did, I’d have nowhere to go. I’ll probably celebrate the evening with candy and a movie.

Very cool concept, to write a poem from the nightmare’s point of view. The poor, misunderstood nightmare, who is only trying to show us who we really are…
I like your pottery, poet. I gave it a go myself in my school days. I tried to make a clay pipe—for smoking perfectly legal tobacco, of course! It exploded in my art teacher’s kiln. What a nightmare.
Happy Halloween. π

Oggy! You always read my poems with such precision. Me thinks we were meant to be! πΏπ¬ … like popcorn and a movie. π Iβm yet an amateur potter, but itβs lots of fun. Haha!! Your pipe popped? Iβm sorry, but I bet you were a cute and naughty elementary lad. π

Happy Halloween! If you see a ghoul…give it some caramel. Are you going to make more pottery?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I donβt have caramel! Canβt I give ghouls m&mβs? Iβve been making pottery just for fun. I want to make a heart with veins and stuff someday soon. Oh, and severed limbs, too. π
