Fifty Words Story – Thief

They stared at each other.

She started to cry, and he made a move towards her but didn’t even know her name.

“Thief!” She sobbed, grasping her head. “It’s gone. All gone!”

“You and your wife ought to rest,” the nurse whispered; saddened and astonished that they both had dementia.

  1. I’m sure all of us create in whatever medium we choose partly in the hopes that should we one day be unable to remember our lives, others will remember them for us. A very sad and movingly human story.
