Love is a closed door
to be pushed open
if you dare.
Mired in confusion –
suspended in air.
Free falling and blind,
you give your heart away.
Take it, but please be kind.
Promises to be true
in a world that is often
spiteful and cruel.
Is it wise to fully commit –
to take a plunge
into that bottomless pit?
Or stay safe and composed –
forever alone
by keeping that door closed?

Love is the ultimate door to happiness given that you enter the correct one. π

Will it be door #1 or door #3? π Unfortunately, one never knows what’s truly behind the door until it’s opened and explored. I agree with you, Sakshi, however, the door to happiness has much to do with our frame of mind, as well and how much or how little we’re bringing into the relationship. Thanks for visiting! πππͺ

Beautiful poem and photo. This is why I prefer doors with windows. That way I can see what’s inside before I enter. Very nicely done.

Haha! Thank you!! Sorry, darling, these doors don’t come with windowsπ Nice try, though! πͺπͺπͺ Hey, one of these doors, though, has a new car. Which door will you pick?? π

Lady or the tiger, eh? Think I’ll just climb out the window and make a run for it. Always worked before. π

Thoughtful expression! Peepholes are useful for situations like this — that way you can see who’s trying to open the door to your heart, especially if they don’t knock first!

Yesssss! Do you have any idea how long I been wanting one of those? Mistake zapper ray guns cost way too much money on the black market and it’s very risky trying to purchase one…because…ummm…you tend to get zapped…by something that’s not a mistake zapper ray gun.
