Dream for Me
Upon my pillow,
visions of things that could be.
All gone. Dream for me.
My words are to thank those who gave their lives, so we may continue to dream.
This is just in time Rose…with all the chaos right now…the least we can do is pray and hold on to our dreams….that one day soon it will all come true..
I’m thinking of you and my relatives there, Mich. I fear this is a new world now where peace and decorum don’t matter to many these days. Keep writing, love. You have such a positive and beautiful soul. xo
Beautiful illustration and lovely words to go with it. The world has changed but let’s hope one day to see a glimmer of what could be if we gave love a chance… jc
Memorial Day is usually debased, either by sales and shindigs or by stale tributes drained of meaning by countless repetitions. Thanks for rescuing it.
Your illustration is serene and dreamy, Rose, truely captivating.
And your words, what can I say…sad, haunting, a reminder to never forget those who gave all so we could follow our dreams. π
I always seem to melt when I read your words, Cathy! You put much thought into your comments, and I appreciate that a lot. Yes, you read my haiku perfectly. A million thanks. β€
Colored pencils and markers are what I normally use since they create no mess. The Prismacolor pencils you got me for Christmas are the smoothest I’ve ever tried. I’ve ordered more of those. I’ve dabbled in watercolor paint but need to perfect it. I’m still enjoying my new toys. π
Charcoal is pretty messy, but I’ve used chalk pastels which I like better. Watercolor is not a forgiving medium, but I found these watercolor pens that I may try. I didn’t know you’ve used charcoal before!
I appreciate your visit! It’s been a long while, and I’m never sure whether you’re coming or going. It’s a lot nicer and funnier when you’re around, B! Thank you.
Your illustration is quite beautiful dear Rose, and the words… I read in the tags and comments the origin of the words, so sad and so grateful, this sadness and this beauty is like finding a rose in the midnight, walking peacefully under a soft rain. Hoping everything is well, thinking in you.
Yes! Hi, Rose. I am with work as always but I think I am soon to get afloat of my economic troubles after the robbery I had more than a year ago. The city is under the hot spring, soon to be summer. And now very happy to read you ^-^hoping don’t getting heavy with the notifications if you use wordpress on app. /n\ it’s everything fine there? hugs /n_n/
Wow, that’s right! I am so sorry, Francis. I know how that terrible incident affected you so much. π¦ The WordPress notifications aren’t consistent, but it was so nice to connect with you! You can always email me: yayrperez@gmail.com if you get a chance π
Work has been busy, but I’m on break for a few weeks, so I hope to catch up on projects at home and on WP.
Stay in touch! Hugs, too, dear Francis β€
Merry Christmas!!
Thank you, Rose! thank you for recall as it happened so much ago π Thanks for your mail, I think I gave you mine ( guaromekano@hotmail.com ) when a couple of times gave you some photographs you made me the honor to feature in your blog with your poems π³π³π³
Happy holidays and merry Christmas dear Rose. ^x^/
My gravatar is still stuck in the Halloween mode, and I wonβt deny it. Adding color into my life is helping me right now, so go crazy, gravatar, go crazy! π€ͺ
