He came to me in a dream,
standing in the land of make believe.
I saw him staring from afar –
the ghost of a love still in my heart.
His footprints impressed into my soul
which were non-erasable.

The poem is so relatable. π

It is indeed a great poem Rummager π

Loving is short, as what Pablo Neruda had said, but forgetting is so long.

beautiful… a (wishful) image came to my mind of waves gliding like tongues across the shore and with each lick flattening the imprint until it’s just sand again…

They’re so damn impossible to clean! Napalm has gotten too expensive, so I’ve been trying to find an alternative but no luck, so far. π

That’s the most wicked thing to do. Disappearing after leaving non-erasable imprints. And still you pay such a nice ode in a lovely poem! Amazing Poet!!
