Opening the treasure chest,
the king expected jewels and coins,
but was in for a revelation!
It contained a gaseous explosion
that splattered and covered everyone in gold.
Now, beggars and noblemen congregated one and all –
for nobody could tell the rich from the poor.

There’s this “golden rule” which states that whoever has the gold makes the rules. So, this rule is now obsolete in that society 🙂

This reminds me of the Greek mythology of Midas who wished that everything he touched would turn to gold, but not in a good way haha
