Saw a shooting star!

Before I could make a wish,

Tom Cruise had shot me.

  1. Yay! I got a poem! I got a poem!

The truth is, of course, that I’ve always been impressed by your poems, particularly since I’ve never been able to write them myself. I like the way you often turn things around at the end unexpectedly. (In your short stories too.)

You also have much more of an emotional range than I do. You can be funny and playful, intense, angry or even a bit scary! I basically always just sound like me.

    • I was inspired by our conversation of trying to outmatch wits which of course, you won hands down! We have so much fun going back and forth, and I absolutely am mad about your blog.

Yes, this poem is all yours. xo

      • I always love back and forth comments. I never think of it as a battle of wits, though, just a funny conversation. My wife says she’ll sometimes see me typing away at my computer. Suddenly, I’ll start sniggering (like Muttley in The Wacky Races). Then I’ll quietly type some more. A few minutes later, there’s another round of sniggering. It’s fun!

      • Haha! I was only teasing you, silly!! Lol. I do the same when I’m writing, but I also end up eating cake, too. ๐Ÿ˜€ You’re so charming, BunK, and your wife knows what a treasure you are, I’m sure.

    • Lol. I actually like some of Cruise’s movies. I’ve never gotten the Scientology stuff, but I like peanut butter on banana slices, so I guess that makes me weird to some ๐Ÿ˜€ Good hearing from you, Nick! xo ๐Ÿš€ ๐ŸŒŒ
