It isn’t food I desire,
nor water I thirst.
Hold me through the night.
This hunger’s my curse.
When you’re away,
I shake; yet not from fear.
You’re my addiction,
my dark love, whom I need near.
My body craves a fix.
This mouth seeks to taste you.
You’re my sustenance –
the only thing I ever value.

I loved this; your writing is always engaging and you have quite the knack for finding images to accompany your words.

Must be hard being a vampire. Can’t help thinking the diet must get a bit monotonous. I wouldn’t want to be sheep for the same reason.

Dull diets would be the worst! I wouldn’t want to be a sheep for various reasons, as well!

Hey, BunKaryudo. For variety they can have a diabetic if they have a sweet tooth.

A great dark and vivid poem Rose.
You and I will have to walk on the
dark side together sometime.
I mean a poem, silly Billy. βΊοΈ
