This was good; but gargoyles aren’t grumpy because they’re guarding churches; they’re trying to warn people away, and they just won’t listen.

He’s not grumpy, he’s contemplating why he accepted the job to guard the church. Was it the money; was it the spiritual need to be closer with god; was it his girlfriend’s constant nagging and complaining and annoying voice that sounded like a drone flying uninterrupted hour after hour…. I’m sorry somehow this gargoyle reminded me of a relationship I was in many years ago. Now where were we? That’s right, he is a grumpy gargoyle!!
