Pull me from the dark –
for you’ve resurrected me.
Once dead, I now breathe.
Am I poetry –
thoughts exhumed from darkened souls,
striving to reach light?
Or am I story –
ghosts adrift lost and forlorn
in cerebral night?
Write me on paper.
Free the monster in your head.
I need to be read.
The way you write poetry so terrorifically, there would be three monsters exhumed from your head, all with rotten breaths, like stinking rats long dead……

Ah, you say the sweetest things, and quite accurate, as well! All three live in my purse. 💀👾👹

Haha, that bloody purse, surely it must have a can of de-odourizer in it too.

I love your featured image, Rose. The reds and yellows really make it pop. The rat one is nice too…a nasty looking critter if ever I saw one.

Thanks very much, Cathy! I enjoy drawing; even the nasties. 😈

Nasties would probably be my favorites to draw…if I could. 😳

Nasties are the most fun to draw! I’m an art instructor, and believe me when I say, everyone can learn to draw. It’s mostly technique.

Isn’t everything mostly technique? 😉

I hung my words out on the clothes line
I patiently wait for them to dry
Colors or whites it means nothing to me
The mark of any good line is the stain
That lives washing after washing

My dirty laundry is difficult to clean.
Silk blouses stained and marred from my sins.
Blood from those I’ve bludgeoned with cruel words,
leave streak marks and splotches on my corduroys.
lol. I enjoy playing with you, Shel. You inspire me. 💋

I’m very excited to read this year’s stories. I’ve been waiting for Halloween since…last Halloween.
(Ugh! Auto “correct” changed “excited” to “executed”. 🙂 Might have a gremlin on board.)

I love Halloween! I’ll be hanging out on that day with Fly, and we’ll be concocting more fun for SMM! It’s been grand having you around, Og. I can’t imagine WordPress without you. You’re my favorite Irish monster. ❤️Yes, be wary of gremlins!

Pulling the monsters out of your head and spilling them on paper! It scares me already for I am sure many ghosts, demons, and phantoms will put their best foot forward to unleash their terror.
