    • Mary Shelley was, indeed, extraordinary as is her writing. She wrote an autobiography in which she stated that she created Frankenstein, the novel, because Percy Shelley, who wasn’t her husband at the time, challenged her and other writer friends to pen a horror story. The best story would be declared the winner. Hands down, she won!
