Brilliant words, Dear Poem, but I must add…some person’s weeds are another’s flower and dandelions are very useful for wildlife, both the early nectar and the seeds are used and relied upon by many creatures. The flower is in action most of the year and not many are…end of lecture!! xx

I agree — dandelions are often marginalized. Many species of insects (or spiders) use the dandelion for a variety of purposes, especially bees and other winged entities.

Thank you! We actually have an area in our yard where we allow Dandelions to grow. Our two rabbits love them.

Sorry, for Dear Poem, please read Poet!! Funny how one makes these mistakes and just not notice…trying to be too quick I presume..I shall try and mend my faulty ways.

Lovely haiku! I like how you’ve played with the idea of dandelions being infectious to humans — reminds me of the movie, The Happening.

Be careful of that Japenese knotweed. 😕

Thanks darling! I’ve never heard of a Japanese knotweed. Are they stalkerish weeds, as well?

Ah, I enjoy them; to a point. I did make them the bad guys, but we always need a villain if we often times write dark. Your words will endure, Cathy. What an amazing writer you are! I know you have a new story posted and will visit tonight. The sun is out today and is calling to me. Thank you so much! xo

Within the limits of the classical/deterministic 😉 framework, this post is a fine account of dandelions. I should link to it respectfully in my forthcoming post that will consider dandelions in the quantum/libertarian 😉 framework I prefer. Need to work on my pix B4 posting.

These little buggers are all over, making me wonder, now, who really put them there and is watching me!! Yet I actually don’t mind them. To watch the transformation from youth to aging, allowing for regrowth as the wind carries them, just amazes me. Great write, Rose!!
