I can be your secret friend.
Pour into me all your dreams.
Tell me thoughts you keep hidden.
I’ll stay silent.
I’ll listen.
Take me into your bed.
Slide your finger down my spine.
I’ll sit here patiently on your lap.
You can take all your time.
Turn me here
and turn me there.
Spread me open –
I won’t tear.

There’s so much here
I would want to say
But You’ve said quite well
Great one Rose

My husband bought a Pelle journal for me which I’m enjoying so much. The cover is the most supple leather. At times, it’s difficult to choose between him and the journal! 😉 Thank you Sheldon.

Lucky journals are ones penned with thoughts and stories; not the ones left empty and neglected. Fill your journal 😊

I scribble a lot, too. Do you doodle!? Stay safe while you’re driving.😊

Lovely. The beauty of a blank page, an empty book, waiting to be filled.

You’re right! A blank journal page is like an undiscovered country. Not many things more titillating for a writer. I’m away from my journal now, but I quiver thinking of getting my hands on it again. 📙 😍

Not what I imagined at first, especially with the great photo of the bedstead. Then “*Inspired by my writer’s journal” had to read it again. Very clever

Oh, thanks Alan! Do you have a journal? 🌷

No, I don’t Rose.
It’s not something I ever thought of doing.
How long have you been keeping a journal?
LikeLiked by 2 people
I’ve kept journals since I was 13 years old, but when I moved to Seattle from Chicago when I was 18, I lost most of my old ones. They’re fun to look through as the years go by.

Journals do a great job of inspiring!

They do! I’m on my fifth journal, but most of my writings won’t be shared. Is that your journal on your blog with a world map on it?
LikeLiked by 3 people
The map journal is mine, but there wasn’t too much paper in it. I use those big 5 star notebooks because they have plenty of paper and they’re cheap — some journals can be quite nice and expensive, but they may not have enough paper (for my needs).

I don’t normally buy expensive journals. I write mostly poetry and quotes in mine, so I don’t need a lot of paper. Your stories are long.

Five star notebooks also have big sheets of paper — especially compared to leather bound journals — and that makes a difference if you’re writing longhand.

Your paper is bigger to accommodate your long penmanship? Lol. Size matters. 😊

A book or a journal has so much to reveal, we can confide in it, it never betrays or deceives us… 🙂 Beautifully said… 🙂

You made a wonderful job of writing about your journal. It would be beyond me to come up with something like this. (I do have an accounts book, but I don’t feel quite as tenderly toward it.)

I don’t know, BunK, numbers can be pretty sexy; especially when sprawled out on a page. There’s also something about how the number 9 has that amazing bicep! Lol. Thank you, my handsome and beak-less woodpecker friend 😀

I may use another beautiful drawing of yours. May I some time in the future? Do I need to tell you beforehand or may I just link the art back to your blog?
