In the snow, the fox trots towards the den where his love waits. He quickens his pace.
A hunter aims his rifle at the oblivious fox; recalling his wife’s pleas for him to stop. Laughing, he pulls the trigger. It clicks; empty chamber.
Ah, hell, you stole my bullets, Amber!

Saw the drawing by megaeggz yesterday and loved it; was curious to see what you would create to accompany it. You didn’t fail to deliver.

I remember once there was a fox next to my old cat and we were worrying that it was going to eat it, but no, they just sat together for awhile. Good beasts. Anyway, glad you enjoyed 😀

It was the bullets nor the gun
It was his intention that killed the beast

It is a foxy drawing! Yes, you are so clever like a fox… (this is the part when you ask, “How clever like a fox am I?”)… say it please…louder…. okay, that was fine — you are so clever like a fox, that if a fox were to comment on my blog, I wouldn’t know if it were the fox or you! 😀 🐕 xo

Yay! A happy ending. I’m glad the fox made it in the end. I’m not a huge fan of hunting at the best of times and I worry about someone who would laugh as he tried to kill any poor defenseless creature that wasn’t a mosquito.

Lol. Mosquitoes are open game – definitely! Also hunting for food is one thing but hunting for sport is totally on some other level. Good call!😊
